Remote interference with android box/sound bar

Hi

I've just put a edision mini in for a friend but the remote is interfering with his android box and sound bar. Pressing buttons on the edision remote turns both of them off and on depending on what buttons are pressed, is there anyway to stop this from happening?

Harmony remote maybe.

I was hoping I didn't have to buy another remote, isn't there any other way around it?

Harmony remote maybe.Wouldn't that just need to send the same codes?
