Remote key to delete text?

I'm trying to edit the text in an auto-timer, but can't figure out how to delete characters.

I'm sure I'm just being dim, but I've tried every key on the remote which seems relevant and a search turned up nothing helpful.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm trying to edit the text in an auto-timer, but can't figure out how to delete characters.


First use the cursor keys to the position where you want to remove something. Then you can use the < and > keys to delete the character left or right.
(I'm not sure whether the keys are marked the same way on the remotes of all enigma receivers)
