Slow reading OpenTV Titles & Summaries?

Hi there,

Has anyone else noticed the Xtrend machines being very slow reading the OpenTV titles and summaries in CrossEPG? This in on the ET8500 and ET7500 receivers but perhaps it's something on all of them. The parsing of the data is really quick so it must be a tuner thing.

It's not the LNB or dish alignment as I've noticed this in 3 different houses.

I have a few old Vu Duo's and they are much quicker at reading the data from the satellite but not as quick to parse or save the data.

Its the way some brands read the data from transponders, its not only Xtrend, a few brands read the data in the same way. Just set Crossepg to run in standby.

Yeah, it's set to go at night alright but was showing the brother and mate how to manually update it and then noticed how slow it was.. It won't make a difference but I was just curious as to the reason!!
