I am just enquiring if their will be a skyQ skin coming to vix.
There's a sky q skin already available I could be wrong but I doubt it will be included in vix feeds due to it having sky logos I don't think vix allow it

It's not in the ViX feeds. Google is your best friend, just search SkyQ skin and it will probably link you to v1.5 or something like that.

Some of the people involved despise Vix. I doubt they will be happy about having it here.
You need to search for

Is it possible for someone to add it on here - this thread if not against rules

Version 1.6 is due out any day now, looks a really nice skin do might wait for Chabs to release the latest version.
For info there appears to be a bug in this version. When you press the blue button for softcam options (I switch between cccam and mgcam for different services) there are no options available to switch cams. You have to go to another skin to do this.
Also to add you can't see what your line details are - line / server you are using when you press the ok button to bring up the details

There is a couple of bugs in V1.5 that I sent crash logs on, not sure if these have been fixed in V1.6 when its ready

Few screen issues on Vix with this one, might need to get Chabs to look into things. It is however a very nice skin..

I just cleared my settings and it is working better now.
have ftp this to the tmp folder - blue button vix then nothing at all on screen , tried setup / vix and still nothing displayed
have 1.5 version installed at moment solo 4k latest build

You would ftp the ipk to the temp folder and install via Blue button > ViX Install Local Extensions.

This was taken from the forum that the developer belongs too, not my wording but does the job. I take it you mean in TV guide page?
1: Press down arrow to show the channel selection
2: Press menu
3: Select settings
4: Channel list preview = yes
5: Show event progess in channel selection =no
6: Show Channel numbers in channel selection =yes
7: Show crypto icons =none
8: Show service type icons =none
9: Show picons in service list =no
10:show columns = 600 pixels wide
11:Number of rows =10
12: press green for ok to save settings
curious when u presse tv i have two picons the small ones changes when i scroll up or down but the larger one is stuck on movies can this be set to change so its matches the selected bouquet
You need to also add specific picons for that part. I believe you create a folder in hdd named skyq and then inside you put the specific picons. If you Google skyq skin you will find the forum developer belongs too which shows these picons in his first post. Sorry can't be more specific, think it's frowned upon in here promoting other forums

What version of ViX are you on? If you are on 4.2.006 then update to .008 and try.

I'm using 1.6 on my Vix build but is a old version, is it OK to update to the latest version as I read that there was a problem with softcams and crom timmers.

Make a folder called SkyQ then put a picon folder in that folder and then use the lcd picons inside that folder
Exact same steps as using normal picons but for that particular skin and preview picons there needs to be a SkyQ folder
Don't know about anyone else but this skin does not like to update Vix, stuck on trying to do it for an age, changed skin and worked first time.
I had an issue with this skin try to add softcam menu to the blue button.
Gave up on it just now.

The SkyQ skin is poor imo, but then again its not catered for ViX, but peeps do like to have the Sky feel, god knows why........

i am on release 5.0.014 (OSmega) and just installed the SkyQ 1.7 skin using the VIX install local extension but I can see a fault with the mgcamd softcam I am using, after a GUI restart the cam doesn't restart automatically. I have to go blue/softcam/restart

Isnt that the norm with mgcam?
I remember i had to restart mgcam everytime i restarted the GUI regardless what skin i used.
Dont get it with oscam though.

This has always been the case. This is why OScam is so so so much better!!!
