Mmm strange that because the last box I sent back the letter said to send the white fly lead coax cable as well or they would charge me for it...

I was involved in overhauling the whole collection process several years ago, it may have changed, but I would be surprised if they re-use cable and at the time I last looked at VM's systems they had no provision for boosters being logged on the accounts to track/enforce collection on, if it doesn't have a MAC address it doesn't exist.

Possibly it would have to have a safety check before it can be accepted back into stock and/or supplied to another customer and this cost more than its worth. Possibly its written off the books after being in use for x number of years.
