Duo2 A/B tuner ALWAYS in use....

hi guys, Just after a little help pleasae, as far as im aware im using the most up to date vix image, i cant find where it says what image i have....

when watching TV it says A/B tuner is in use (lit up in the left screen on the box) and when turning the box into stanby it still has A/B illuminated in the center screen. If i check the "streaming in info it says nothing streaming, nothing is recording either.... and ideas please?

This is usually the case when people forward ports on their router so they can connect it to their receiver from outside their home network. Yo can check if you ahve any open ports as per this post

thanks, so if i still wanted to record 1 and watch 1 (although no other tuner is used) it should still work, not a massive issue if i know what it is, just making sure it wasnt broken.

Just don't open ports then only people within your network can access the box

I had this problem and solved it by changing the scheduled autobouquet maker from daily to weekly. Did the trick for me.

Edit: on second thoughts it might have been the crossepg daily download that I changed. It was a while back so can't quite remember so try both.

abm would not be much use if only running weekly as channels can move daily.times can be changed of when to do it.

For the UK, they are generally Tuesday and Thursday.

I'm guessing he has still got ports forwarded to his receiver.
