To let all OpenViX users know, Service numbering in Graphical EPG has now been implemented.

To enable the service numbers:
1) Open Graphical EPG (press epg button) > Press Menu > Select service title mode > Set to Service number and Service name.
2) Press Green to save.

I would also like to say thank you for those involved.

However, could I ask about my little code for re-assigning the 4 coloured key options within G-EPG. This has been implemented in another image and it would save me having to maintain the epg mod.

Available from from 4.2 004

If you want the service number to be displayed, open Graphical EPG, press menu, scroll down and change the "Service Title Mode". Using the left/right button select an option with "Number"

Please note:
There is no numbering in Enigma2 receivers. The numbers the channel have is based on the order that the bouquets are loaded and content. This can change depending on your setup.
If someone has the main/all channels bouquet in ABM, the Entertainment bouquet will start at 1000+. As an example BBC One exist in the "All channels" as well as "Entertainment " bouquet. Both numbers are correct and valid. If you don't want the 1000+ numbers, don't create the large bouquet!

so happy about this i am a nightmare for trying to remember the channel numbers, when my daughter wants to watch her cartoons i know kids channels start at around 600 on sly but i always get it wrong!!

massive thanks to those who put in the hard work for us to have this :):)

I've just updated and happy with it; although there seems to be quite a large gap between the channel number and the picon; i reduced the service font width to -3 to fit the entire text of the service name in, and the picon width is at minimum (70), is there a file in the box somewhere that i can amend to reduce the gap between the number and picon please? many thanks in advance

I haven't done no, but with the slyk skin by kiddac i use the epg tabs so by reverting to the original would crash the box or the tabs wouldn't work

is there part of the modded epgselection.py file that could be edited to reduce the gap?

im looking at the py but cant find anything. disable epgtabs by the extras.xml then try the original epgselection.py from github https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/blob/master/lib/python/Screens/EpgSelection.py reboot box and check the gap.

or Try the default skin and you can compare it with the a both image

If you have installed another plugin/modification which has a.py file included, this will always overwrite the system file. Please start a separate thread for such issues or contact the creator/provider of the files.

This thread was started to notify people about changes to the default image. Please keep comments in this thread specific to this issue.

The current file has the number left aligned. However, as we have to accomodate large numbers that means there will be space at the front.

It has been changed and will be in next image
