Solo2 should not be run with a swap file.
Not the batteries new all the rest of the menus running ok just the channel sides is died slow I've always ran a swop file on it with all the older versions with no trouble

Well you need to remove the swap file, can do more harm than good. I would personally reflash the latest ViX image and set everything up as new, no settings or plugin restores and no swap file.

How is you channel list made up? Do you have picons installed? If so where?

I have the very same issue on My DUO2 after today's on-line update,
No Swap enabled
1080 Confluence Skin (same results with Default Skin)
Magic HD
picons are stored on a usb stick as advised.

What tuner modules do you have?

Just tried the exact same Vhannibals list on its own, no issue seen. I then run ABM over top, again no issues with vhannibals list combined with ABM.

I have Just updated to the latest Build on my Solose v1 channel list is provided by AutoBouquetsMaker for 28.2e Tyne Custom
I have taken a couple of video clips using my ipad,
one of Duo2 & the other of Solose zipped up & attached
There is a very slight delay in solose unlike the Duo2 which is rather more affected.
I'm running ciefpsettings motor with abm at the top
It's not the switch over time between channels that's still quick it's the menu load time with both abm and ciefpsettings
I've switched swop file off I'm running picons on usb stick
Same issue here on my miraclebox box ultra and edision os since updating to 4.2.003. Only on the satellite side there's a delay but virgin is ok.
I manually scan and make up my own channel list.
Picons on flash

just updated my solo 4k from 4.2.002 to 4.2.003 and when I push up on the remote to go through channels there are none there for about 15ses and then when they appear it takes ages to scroll through them and if I try to download any plugins it takes ages or just stops
gone back to 4.2.002 and all is fine

@alan8192,
I meant to merge other thread into yours. Made a mistake and it went the other way. Sorry
mine is slower than the duo2 vid
you can watch the channels appear one at a time as it loads up the list

Updated today and Mutant HD2400 running great no problems with 4.003 .
Guys for now revert back to 4.2.002. It looks like only satellite lists affected. Cable or terrestrial normal speed. It's more apparent on some boxes than others.
I have exactly the same problem where my vu duo 2 is now sluggish in my channel list since I done the latest clean flashed update to vix 4.2.003,my solo 2 is slightly better tho , going thru the menu's is fine as well as the epg (abm 28.2e) I have also tried to go back to 4.2.002 same problem

Same issue with the channel list here on my duo2. Also issues with unresponsiveness on lcd4linux since upgrading to 4.2
my lcd4linux in duo 2 is very slow now as well and this was the case on 4.2.002 and 4.2.003

the issue is being looked at.
there is a set of configured files for Linux4lcd. See here:

As a temp work around until next build enabling debug logs cures the issue.

Yes noticed this myself.
It was OK on 4.2.002, but on 4.2.003 the listing takes a second or so to populate.
Running 4.2.003 on VU+ Solo2
Fixed in build 4.2.004, build running now. I'll release later today once complete. Online update should be fine.
Thanks for all the help all 👍🏼

Great Service from the Team behind Open VIX Images
The sluggish channel list Bug reminded me I still had a wife "stating the remote is acting up again"
But now she's disappeared again!
I appreciate the Fix guys.
