Software Update vu solo2

Hi I have tried to update the software from 4.1.016 to 4.2.001 via USB, when Get to the restore settings it says
Error files not compatible with new image.
I cannot restore settings and plugging from the backup.
I have tried to do a software update via the receiver, it says: nothing to upgrade.
Anyone had this issue?

You cannot restore settings and plugins when moving to 4.2, you need to do a clean install from scratch.

when I press exit the restore wizard, the screen gets stuck on that landscape photo, on the top right hand corner: Please Wait. and nothing happens ..
Any further guidance please?

You can't restore settings or plugins with 4.2.001, it has to be a fresh install.
