Hi, im new to this so i hope i dont make any silly mistakes :)
First im getting rid of sly.
I want to watch sports inc 3pm kick offs which i think is possible on sly 5 ireland, i live in n.ireland?
I also want to have the rest of the available channels movies ect.
Iptv would be great also.
I would like to rec whilst watching.
So i think i need a twin tuner with a gift,
I started with looking at the Zgemma hs2 which looks fine (i think??)
But then stumbled apone the Edision OS Mini Twin tuner which looks better as it has wifi bluetooth ect.
Can anyone reccomend or help with my search, what to buy and how to set up, please.
Many thanks.

No disrespect intended but if your getting rid of sky how do you expect to be able to decrypt the pay TV channels you still want to watch ?. (Stealing pay TV is not supported here so no talk of gifts etc)

Also the zgemma (aka that god awful, death trap from China) is not supported here so you won't get any help with one of them if that's what you do end up going with.

Hi buddy..
As Larry has stated above.. We can not provide any details on how to obtain channels through illegel means.. Please see our forum rules for more help..

Concerning your zgemma.. Larry is also correct.. Its a real possibility that its a fire hazzard.. These are mass produced in China with vastly inferior hardware.. And have know problems with the power bricks over heating.. Which is dangerous to yourself and your family..

I see you mentioned the Edison OS mini.. and you will be happy with it if thats what you decide to purchase.. Its a top quality budget receiver.. and great value for money..

Here is a link to the Edison if this helps..

.. Edison OS Mini ... (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/satellite-and-terrestrial/digital-receivers/edision/Edision-os-mini-2x-dvb-s-s2)

What insults ?. I did not insult you although I can if you want me to. I just pointed out that you can not receive pay TV without a subscription and that what you were asking for was not supported on this forum.

All depends on the size of your budget..
The Edison is exactly that.. Its a budget receiver.. It will do everything you need it to do.. except it will be a bit slower than some of the others below..

... Technomate TM Twin... (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/satellite-and-terrestrial/digital-receivers/technomate/Technomate-TM-Twin-OE-Enigma-2-Linux-HD-PVR-Twin-Tuner-Satellite-Receiver) On the makert now a few years.. But still a great receiver that takes a 3.5 HDD

... Vu+ Solo SE ... (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/satellite-and-terrestrial/digital-receivers/vu-plus/VU-Plus-Solo-SE-V2-2x-DVB-S2) Never had one of these.. But im sure some of the guys will be able to tell you more details..

... Xtrend ET8500 ... (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/satellite-and-terrestrial/digital-receivers/xtrend/Xtrend-ET8500-2x-DVB-S2) If your budget will allow.. Then this is the one i`d go for..

Hope this helps.. these above 3 are better and faster than the Edison.. But obviously they are a little more expensive..

Another excellent mid-range receiver is the Xtrend ET7500:

http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=ET7500&filter_category_id=63

Dual threading 750MHz /2000DMIPS CPU. Available as single satellite tuner, twin satellite tuner or combo 1x sat + 1x hybird c/t2.

Has nice front display and internal SATA hard drive facility. Could also use external USB or eSata. Silent fanless design.

For a newbie the ET7500 is a simple, does as it says, no thrills good receiver.

Maybe also consider vu solo 2 for an extra £40, fast box with good support and can support full kodi for iptv.

Even though no thrills, it's higher spec that old duo that ended life more expensive than et7500.
