Hi i have a vu+ solo2 that is stuck with blue light on the front tryed to reflash it but no good any ideas what might be the problem??

Try different USB sticks. Format to FAT32.

From memory some Solo2's have suffered VFD board failure which resulted in an RMA if under two years old.

I've done loads of Vu+ Solo2's n never encounted any issues. Only issue I've ever come across was when a friend took the HDMI lead out while tv n receiver was still on and he knackered the HDMI socket on the Vu+ Solo2. He now has to use Scart connection. lol

Try flashing with an older image, try ViX Apollo Build 20 & earlier ones and if they work you'll know you've got a dud.

Would a sticker on the front saying only download from dreamoem be a give away that it is a clone?

Genuine receivers do not need any stickers telling you where you can only get firmware from. Looks like a fake

absolutely, that forum is specifically setup to only support clones.

No you have got me wrong i have a h2s in my spare room in my main room i have a et9500 some1 came to me to swap with my h2s just wondering what should i do are they both as bad as each other the h2s and the cloned vu+ solo or is one better than the other?

There both as bad as each other mate, neither have any real safety certification and absolutely no warranty at all.

I know it's over kill but if either were to ever develop a fault serious enough not only could it burn down your house but all insurance policy's would be voided if they were found to be the problem.

Ok the only plus i sopose is that there is a 500gb harddrive build into it so if i am to have any of the 2 the vu+ solo would win for that reason?
With the Lastest image i downloaded of vix is kodi not sopose to be on it?
Or will it not work on clone?
