To be clear: is this before or after a bootloader flash?
Also what are you doing with the remote prior to the crash? Shows keys pushed in log?
I assune the Lcd is up and running?
Running on Vix 4.2 should not be an issue, at least runs on mine without issue.
I would be tempted to remove the casing via the 2 nuts and reseat the tuners (although it recognises them) and eject any hdd for starters.

Yes.. I went through FIW
Then done a fresat scan.. and put it on BBC Olympic 2HD
Watching the cycling.. All was good for 30 mins.. Then crashed.. Usually crashed after 10 mins before i flashed the bootloader..
After above.. I installed cam via ftp..
No picons added..
Done a full ABM scan on 28e..
mounted the HDD
EPG went in fine for the 1st time after fresh flash.. Usually locked up on 4.80mb .. Although it was seriously slow.. about 10 mins.. Usually takes 90 secs on Quad+..
So just went back to BBC Olympic 2HD.. and after approx 20 mins.. another crash.. Logs attached above..
Remote never touched after channel selection..

So before it crashes :) can you 1)turn on debug logs
Then go into standby, delete epg.dat from flash/hdd and where ever and pwr off/on
Then lets see what the debug shows .... if any other than program check:)
Just trying to think of anything that might help .... I have beat the ***** out of my office machine, run it at very high temperatures and its been fine (cross fingers) .

And Yes Crossepg takeslonger on all Xtrend receivers than Vu+ although about 5 minutes for mine on UK epg.
