Hi all,
I have a webcam, soon to install another for at home.
On my existing webcam, I've just discovered a nice stable stream coming from it that i can use with VLC player on my PC to view it, no stuttering or anything.

I was wondering, is there a way for me to set the link which is a rtsp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxx/live.sdp into a new bouquet/channel?

that was be so convenient and awesome.
Cheers

Stu

Hi,
try DreamboxEdit which handles streams also.

You can also try by yourself.
This is what I use for my Foscam:

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//user%3apassword@192.168.178.250%3a88/videoMain:WZ-FosCam
#DESCRIPTION WZ-FosCam

You might also want to take a look at the Plugin CamoFS.

Excellent, got that sorted now, used the dreamboxedit method.

I tried the CamoFS plugin but that was a real nightmare for entering information as the keyboard was messing around and i wasn't getting feed when it was eventually setup.

Hi,
concerning CamoFS do it like I did. I entered nonsense then I copied the generated config file to my PC and edited this file with an editor.

Can you remember where that config file gets saved to?
I had a quick look in etc and etc/enigma2 but didn't see anything obvious there.

Hi,
sadly it is not in /etc/enigma2. It creates itīs own director in /etc and the name starts with cam I think. Inside this directory the config file is stored. I am not at home to check right now.

etc/ConfFS looks to be the folder.
The file to edit being camoFS.dat.

Cheers, that'll make things easier

try DreamboxEdit which handles streams also.
Or E-Channelizer, which works a bit more intuitive. See

You might also want to take a look at the Plugin CamoFS.
Frans Selbig has decided to make money out of this plugin. The version we have on the feeds is the last freeware-version; if you really want the payware-version you need to download it from his website.

Hi,
look at my post #2. It only works if it is a h264 stream. mjpeg for instance will never work.

Can anyone help?

I stream my cams to both my VU+ boxes & have done so for several years, I've now added an Ultimo 4K (Vix 5), but this box won't display them.
It looks like the cam image is trying but is overlayed with the last still image from the previous channel. Both my other boxes are fine!?!

Any ideas? My "Dreamset" info looks like: rtsp://192.168.1.12:554/user=VU+&password=??????&channel=1&stream=0.sdp

Hi,
I tried to stream from my DCS-4701E to my Ultimo 4K.
But I do not know how to use user / password in the url.
Without security, it worked well with my rtsp: //192.168.0.12: 554 / live1.sdp

This is what I have for my UCAM247 security camera streaming to my Vu+ boxes.

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:FFFF:0:0:0:0:0:0:rtsp%3A//admin%3Apassword@192.168.0.xxx/live/0/h264.sdp:Security Cam

I think all camera manufactures use a slightly different format.

"iSpy" from here
_https://www.ispyconnect.com/download.aspx
has a facility that finds the correct syntax for you.

I also added the attached picon to my picon folder - looks nice on the info bar!
