No picture on tv whilst recording a channel...

Hi i have just received my 8500 twin cable tuner box
set up with latest vix 4.1016 it came preflashed from WOS
ABM scanned found all channels
tuners are shown as both connected A and B and have cables to both.
can watch say itv hd no problems on both tuners. ..and can disable tuner A and watch tuner B and visa versa.

but once i start to record a channel (both tuners enabled).... i can change channels ok but get no picture.
I am not recording 2 channels just one as a previous posters problem.
any ideas pls gents before it goes back?

What cam/emulator are you using?
Does the issue arise on free channels? (There are only a handful of Free channels on cable.)

As commented before, what does the Lcd display say about the tuners?
White - in use watching, Red - in use recording (or used by fallback tuner/rscs/external,user :) ) not shown - free :)
.... and as Abu has said which if any cam.
Suggest you just try on FTA channels and lets us know,what the lcd says.
Its better to find the issue and fix it than jump to conclusions that may be wrong.:)

Sounds like a softcam or setup issue.

I've tested 4.1.016 and 4.2.001 (released today) with OScam, no issues.

Thanks guys as you suggested ,i was using an older softcam, that i had been using in my vuduo thats just given up the ghost..
Never knew about the limitations.
Have spent the morning learning about oscam,I am now up and running.

Can someone with a 8500 check their PiP. The "tuner driver Xtrend" issue seems to appear when put that on and switch channels too?!
