Hi folks,

Pretty new to this but very impressed so far.
When installing a new image, does the memory stick need to be blank apart from the image?
Or can I have more than one on the stick and just choose which image to install?

TIA

Just the one image

The memory stick must be formated with FAT 32 , only have the one desired image on it and preferably no bigger than 4 or 8 Gb.

Don't have anything else on the stick. Use a decent make and no bigger than 8gb - format to Fat32 and do not have any other sticks connected to the box.

That's a myth mate. I have used several hundred USB sticks over the years from named brands to generic and from several hundred Meg to several hundred gig. All worked perfectly. Except the one that was destroyed by a swap file and that was a named 8 gig stick.

Thank you for all the comments.
I think I'll just have the one image and nothing else.
But, Larry-G, does the image folder have to be the first one on the stick?

Cheers

Yes, unzip the file to your HDD and then copy and paste the contents i.e. the folder name ET8500 to the USB stick

Just use something like WinRAR to extract to a formatted (fat32) usb stick.

Yes thanks Andy.
I just didn't understands about ET8500

The folder name is usually the receiver name eg ET8500 receiver -> ET8500 is the folder name
