View Full Version : Plugin Or Further Info Required
Hi,
I have a strange request.
Have any of you heard of EPGRec?
I basically found this
https://sourceforge.net/projects/epgrec/ and wanted to know whether it can be implemented into a Enigma receiver.
I have a few guys in different countries who have this setup on ubuntu with tv card. I wanted info whether this can be enabled on Dreambox or Gigablue UE.
Would be great if possible as I would be able to setup records alot easier rather than accessing openwebif.
Hi,
something similar exists for several years already. It is called TV-Browser and has an interface to control Enigma2. I am not sure about english channel and if it supports OpenWebInterface though.
ciao
thanks for the info will look into this
need to figure out the plugin as i dont see any e2 plugin on the software
Isn't everything this does covered by OpenWebIF anyway?

Doesn't work on Windows 8.1
Nah openWebif is different as it allows streaming. Im looking at something more like epgrec or tv browser where you can install on a pc/server with the only options to record via epg nothing else.
This type of setup is really famous in Japan
That plugin seems to be the thing im after. How can we get this in English?

The fact that it also streams isn't an issue - just don't do it.
It's kinda slow in seeking the epg. just wanted something bit more sleeky. is it possible to design a plugin for this?

The TV-browser gets it's EPG from internet sources; completely independent of the EPG on the STB. So they might differ quite a lot.
And I'm still not sure what's wrong with the existing OpenWebIF which has the exact EPG the box has, of the same services in the same bouquets. I just went through them all and I can't find anything wrong there?
i don't wanna expose openwebif over the wan.. or is it possible to duplicate openwebif and maybe lighten the skin with just EPG and record feature?
