Hi, All.

THIS IS FOR 28.2E SATELLITE

I've been doing some digging and looking around my current set-up on my VU+ DUO 2 box

I have SNP picons 400x170 dark on transparent, downloaded directly from picons.xyz; I have the latest ones, however there are quite a few missing picons...

In the same case, I use MK's brilliant set of picons, downloaded and available directly from Openvix website; as brilliant as these are they're are still a number of them missing

Over the past week or so I have set a little project for myself, to have all picons available for both TV and Radio

And I want to share these with you awesome people to complete your picon set.

I believe all missing picons are included in my download; over 300! This includes those where the service name has changed; some are also marked as service referenced picons due to a few radio channels having the same name as the TV channel.

I have also included all missing radio channel picons and picons for future channel additions and changes

There are also a few bouquet picons too.

Alternatively, you can upload/post the logos in Ocram's picon thread. He has some very high standards on what logos he uses. Best to use SVG files if possible. Don't be disappointed if he rejects them.

UPDATE :

Some picons do not work on previous upload due to mis-named or radio channel having same service name as the tv channel version; i.e Magic (music channel) and Magic (radio channel)

These have been changed to service referenced picon

tested and working

ftp to your box and overwrite existing if prompted

sky start trek is there as well as heart summer, cs summer, sky sports the open, pop max and home and leisure shop.

(sky star trek is reverting to sky harry potter within the next few days - i'll include sky harry potter in the next update)

i'll get on to do eir sport 1 and 2, box hits, box upfront, sky hits hd and showcase 3.

i'l post the update when i've done this.

you're right they have, some by mk and some by glayzkee i believe; anyone wanting them just has to search, but i'll still be uploading my versions just as soon as my broadband is back up and running - im on and off mobile network at the moment, engineers currently working on solving the problem in my area :/

BBC Olympics 1 to 8 are in the Sports Bouquet if you are running ABM. Also they are all in HD. [emoji4]

hey guys, so when I checked my channel list the other day it only had BBC Olympics 1-6, however it has been pointed out (thanks Andy) that there are in fact 8 of these channels in both SD and HD

I have also duplicated each picon in SD and HD with this post's download due to provider Freesat HD versions having a different service name to 28.2e and cable

on 28.2e and cable the service names are BBC Olympics 1 HD / BBC Olympics 2 HD etc...

on Freesat the service names are BBC Olymp 1 HD / BBC Olymp 2 HD etc...

glad to hear it's sorted :) the channels are in fact bbc red button but have now changed to bbc olympics; i have this issue a lot too i have abm to scan for changes every 48 hrs and some won't change on service name unless i zap to the channel.

recently sky harry potter has changed to sky cinema spies, but when looking at my epg it still said harry potter in sd version but spies in hd version, wasn't until i zapped that it then changed

on satellite? don't quote me on this but this may be for everyone; as i have just checked my channel list and it's the same only sd on sat, but is hd on freesat and cable lists as well as sd

Due to change today, BT Sport Europe and BT Sport Europe HD changing service name to BBC Sport 3 and BBC Sport 3 HD

On Wednesday 10th August, Channel 5 + 24 will be replaced by My5

On Saturday 13th August, Sky to launch Sky UHD

On Tuesday 23rd August, BBC Olympics 1-8 SD and HD will be reverted back to BBC Red Button

On Wednesday 24th August, Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports Mix HD will be launched

On Thursday 1st September, Pop Max will be reverted to Tiny Pop +1

Before end of August, Sky Cinema Spies and Sky Cinema Spies HD will be reverted back to Sky Cinema Greats and Sky Cinema Greats HD

Sometime before Autumn end, a new channel from A&E Networks will launch called Blaze, date unknown

Also coming in near future, but have unconfirmed dates, and will be by end of 2016 they're are some new channels coming :

At present I am using srp-full 256x256-226x226 light.on.transparent from my available Picons listing on my Vu+Solo2. I have my Picons folder saved to my USB stick Will your opened .zip replace what is there in the Picons folder ok when I replace using Filezilla?

Hi thanks for your message. They will only replace if the file name is the same, you have said you have srp picots which are service referenced named picons opposed to service name picots so by transferring mine to your picon folder will not replace the current picots you have.

Yes I did say replace every thing in my picon folder with your files and yes I would make a backup copy of mine. They are of course still there in the downloads picon choice if I want to replace.

I have the SNP dark on transparent installed on flash as it takes up less memory than the LCD ones and the LCD ones are installed on a USB stick plugged into one of the back ports of the box
To configure properly ringer them showing where I want them to I use LCD4Linux plugin

I guess everybody has different preferences :)

No problem, the average folders I believe are harrypotter skycinema etc so you just need to transfer the contents of the folders with SNP named on them in each of the folders. Just transfer the files themselves not the whole folders

I am sure I speak for all us newbies when I say we really do appreciate the time & effort you put into this work. no, just include all the picture png files / image type files.

the .ds store files i have absolutely no clue why these keep adding.

i think it may be something to do with the unarchiver i am using on my mac, everytime i compress a folder it seems to create a .ds store file.

just ignore the .ds file

all you need is the image contents.

Hi Grant, just had a look at the amount of Picons already in there and they amount to many hundreds covering at least 3 other Sats I'm tuned in to at this time, giving me logos on those Sats.This made me go back to your original post stating that these were for 28.2 only. There are only a couple of hundred plus as is correct of course for 28.2. So if I take out and replace with yours I'm going to lose a lot more than I'm putting in. Is there a way I can insert yours without having to discard the many more I have, as looking at a preview on my PC yours look the business.

The easiest way to work around this is I would suggest visiting picons.xyz and finding the picots you have but downloading the SNP version instead of the SRP set.

This should be the exact same set but they will be service named opposed to service referenced.

For example, if BBC One for argument sake was 0.0.888.AE:086754F as a SRP Picon, the SNP version will be the same logo, however wipe be named bbcone

I personally think SNP picons are a lot easier to work with that SRP picons as they are easy to work with

If you visit picons.xyz search for your set and look for the same named set but it will say SNP instead

You can download the tar.gz file, extract it on your PC , delete all the SRP ones you already have and ftp over the SNP set.

Once you've done that it's just a crass of ftp my picots over to the same location and you should be prompted with an overwrite message, click yes to all and this will replace the standard ones with mine
Reboot the box when done and you should be good to go.
