ET8500 is a steal and a no brainer imo. [emoji4]

I have a Vu duo & SE. So I went for XTREND ET 10000 HD 2X DVB-S2 TUNER BLACK PVR READY LINUX FULL HD HBBTV RECEIVER, something different.

I have a Solo2 and think it's great, but if I was buying today the ET8500 was a £270 box last year, it's now a £170 box and spec wise it matches or beats the SE and S2 in most aspects, for that sort of money it's hard to argue with. The 4K has moved over to ARM which will be the future, but at £170 you can't fault it.

It may well be the future but E2 was never written for E2 and it still requires a lot more work in this respect.in my opinion they should have created a new OS for the arm boxes instead of jumping on the E2 bandwagon.

The main issue is that satellite manufacturers are really lazy.

They will do the bare minimum with regard to software development and just jump onto the E2 bandwagon. Knowing full well the scene it self will in most cases fix issues.
