hi all,
just got my new duo2 and wanted to flash the latest vix image onto it.
Read the tut and followed the instructions but I cannot get it to flash onto my new box.
I have tried 4 different pen drives as well as a usb hdd no luck.
it does have the v2 bootloader already installed on it.
all I get is the usual boot up writing with no mention of pressing power button.
any ideas guy's please before I start to go down the route of drinking too much and being pissed off :)
cheers
have u unzipped the file onto the usb stick?
is the folder on the usb stick vuplus
held the button in next to the usb port under the panel when u switch the vu on?
usb stick is formatted in fat32

Hi Matey,
Yes
yes
thought you had to wait for the front display to tell you to press the power button?
yes
the only time this has happened to me was a dodgy download of the firmware re downloaded and all good, looks like you've covered most bases:confused:
Taken from the guide....
Fully power the receiver down via the rocker switch at the rear of the receiver.
– Make sure no USB devices are plugged into the receiver at this point.
– Insert the USB stick containing the image files into one of the USB ports on the receiver.
– Power the receiver on from the rear rocker switch and await instructions.
– As your Duo2 starts to power up you should see a prompt on the receivers display asking
you to press the power button, at this point you need to press the power button which is
located behind the flap on the front of the receiver.
is it a genuine vuplus box?

does it boot to the normal vu image?
yes matey . I have even unplugged the internal HDD jus incase. The only cables connected to the box are: power, hdmi and sat cables.
In these cases its usually the USB stick. Very temperamental. Use a small gb one. Preferably a named one (sandisk. kingston) Try a low level format.(hddguru) check there are no partitions on the usb
