From reading posts on here I believe the ET8500 is the best of the two

They are similar spec'd boxes, but the Miraclebox boots up quicker than the Xtrend. The ET8500 is like marmite, you'll either love it or hate it.

Just what I've been told. Like the Vu+ Solo2 boots up quicker than the Vu+ Duo2, and the Vu+ Duo2 has the better specs?......
