Got the flashing icon again after 14 update for new firmware? is this the same issue as 13? :confused:

Yes - and No.

Similar issue but a different package. Like some of the VIX team guys said, please check existing posts first. The -013 issue advice was given by Rob van der Does in a previous post at http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?52170-Once-updated-to-4-1-013-system-keeps-notifing-me-off-a-new-update&p=407414#post407414 - it worked for me at -014 albeit with a different package dependancy. Off to watch Belique now!

I've released build 4.1.014 on www.openvix.co.uk, a flash and restore should resolve this issue for anyone not able to wait for next update.

Don't shoot me down in flames here :mad: but would it not be easier to have a link in the VU+ Receivers Discussion that you could call for example Vix firmware upgrade Issues? that would hyper link straight to the attached link you posted which would be in the vu+ duo2 section on the form? :eek:

Might work out better for Staff and Users :rolleyes:

Image issues should be in image support section.

When you go to post in there, if you see a thread a title similar to your issue (albeit for a different receiver prefix), common sense is for you to post in the same thread saying this is affecting my receiver too. We can then change prefix to vix_misc

I presume this means if we wait and just put up with the flashing green icon for now, the next online update will fix it and a full re-flash wont be required?

No: this issue can only be fixed by flashing.

I also got these update notifications after .13 and .14 on my vu+duo2, but seems to be ok now after flashing .15
