Take the casing off and check your connections to the HDD haven't come loose.
Is it showing up in the Initialise menu.
Can't seem to find it what should I look for never had to do it the box was all set up when I got it.
Go to. Menu/setup/system/storage devices/initialisation. Does your HDD show in there?
Storage devices is not showing up don't think it ever has ?
Is there another menu to access the initialise menu
You wouldn't have been able to record if it wasn't there at one time.
Sounds like something on the box is broken. Can you take you Hdd out and test it with any other PC or Box
Menu/setup/Vix/mount manager. does it show in there?

It is going to be a hardware issue. Either HDD has died or a cable has got disconnected during the fall.

Yes I agree. I have already mentioned these two things. Just curious what build image he had for future reference in case he got things going.

This is an ancient image. You need to flash the latest image. http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/guides-and-tutorials/receiver-usb-flashing-guides/
I think it most be the hdd as I have removed it twice to make sure it was plugged in correctly.
Cheers Ashley 69 does this take the ccam off if I do this like I said I'm not the best at this stuff.
Or do you know anyone in the Manchester area that could do it and I would sort them out the bloke that done it last time is really hard to get hold of
Or would it be better to buy a new box was thinking of an upgrade any ideas.
