Multi key freeze on remote control

It's a vu solo 2 when in a menu, epg or channel change unable to press exit, enter or channel buttons multiple times.

Light on remote flashes with every press but nothing happens on gui, I have to press any button on remote then try the original button again before a response.

I have changed remote settings by press 2&7 etc and also 1&6 method unfortunately still joy!

Anyone got any ideas please??

You probably need good new batteries.
