Just wondering why the latest 010 update mentions a fix for the zgemma thought this box was a clone and not supported?

Not a clone, just not supported. A Clone is identical in every way to the original (including branding). Other O-E images support ZGemma and even ViX4E2 did for a while when their sponsor sold the boxes.
