All,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

upgraded to openvix 4 1 009 build last week. and since then the box has done nothing but crash or freeze. only way to get out of it is by a hard reboot.

Also, since the upgrade the signal im getting from my dish is fluctuating excessively and sometimes drops. iv been up to the lnb and motor and done a signal test as well as on screen and its bang on. then again nothing has moved since before the upgrade and it was perfect then.

im tempted to revert back to the old build. but if anyone can shed some light or know of anything i can try that would be brilliant.

here is a copy of my log file.

Once again if this is in wrong section, apologies

No issues with GBQuad here, in full time use on build 4.1.009

1. There is an issue with your epg data. Stop enigma from running "init 4" command, let it settle for about 10 seconds, then delete epg.dat. We have a load/save/delete option in the epg menu if you want to try it.
2. What are the exact settings you are using for Cross EPG downloader?

What providers are you using? A picture of your providers order screen may help.

You are probably downloading from the internet, using the rytec providers or even more.

djmadman
28-05-16, 22:18

cheers for all your input so far guys

No need for both, one will overwrite the other.
Shouldn't be causing your crashing issues tho. Something else wrong too.

You are getting data from one place, then overwriting it with another. Pick one and use only that one for that provider.

To explain:
Using rytec for 13e and opentv for 28.2 is fine
Using rytec for everything is fine
Using rytec for 28.2 and also using opentv for 28.2 is bad.

Rytec gets the data from websites. This sometimes has more detail. However, that means someone has to provide him with service references when they change.
You download from the internet so an internet connection is required.

OpenTV is what is on the satellite and the broadcaster uses. There is a very small number of chanenls which do not pay Sky for EPG data, these will be blank.
You download from the satellite, so a tuner is required.

Pick one.
