Hi folks

Have a got a duo turning up soon and got a few questions for the clever folks :)

Looking a putting the latest vix image on it via the usb method.

1,Do I need to back up the original image just in case it has to go back ?
2, is the open vpn on the vix image stable ?
3, Channel lists/Bouquets... can these been updated via usb or D/L via the vix server or is it a ftp jobbie ?

Hi and welcome to the forum

1. No the image is freely available if you need it
2. As far as I am aware yes
3. Use DreamBox Edit -very simple with in built FTP facility

It might be an idea to back up the orig image, but most dont bother
channel list can be downloaded via the image...or via dreamboxedit or simular progs
not sure about open vpn

I lead to believe that with the open vpn it doesn't allow you to ftp back and forth, but is more secure for all parties involved ;)
