I am thinking of upgrading to Version 4 with a new flash. However, I spent quite a lot of time in changing many of the default settings (zapping, epg, remote buttons etc.) to meet my special needs. Is it possible to copy a file with the various settings to a usb stick and print it, or do i need to write down these before upgrading?

Many thanks.

Write it down or take prints from webif on your computer.
You are able to do a settings restore if you are moving over from 3.2 or 4.0 to 4.1.

Most settings are in /etc/enigma2/settings and are readable/printable.

They might not always be the easiest values to decipher, but I use it as a reminder when starting from scratch.

(remember to take a copy before reflashing.)
