Out of curiousity which receivers use colourspace and why?

Just seen a Technomate with this in av settings, but thought this was 4k only?
Would appreciate clarification:)

Not sure which receivers use HDR but I'm guessing the setting is there due to some TV'S not accepting HDR. HDTV(1080p) has a colour space REC709 and 4K can have two different types Dci and rec2020 if I remember correctly.
