Using OpenVix 4.1 001 release.
Not often but often enough when start my Vu+ Duo2 from standby mode I have no sound. This problem not started from 4.1 001, I have found same problem from earlier images also.
I have not found any way to get ride of the this problem. Restart box and / or restart Enigma will solve the problem. But If I have some running records, they will aborted so I like to solve this problem without restart the box.

I using both Optical audio and HDMI. So it doesn't matter which source I use. Still no sound.

Any Idea some one how I can get ride of this problem?

Try logging via webif and checking box volume, sometimes it can set to 0 after a shutdown.
Some other images have a boot up volume check.

Ok. I will of course try this. But I do not think the volume are the problem. When using optical digital audio out, the volume no longer handle by the box. But next time I have problem with sound, I will give it a try just to be sure

Something similar happens to me on et8000. No volume at 90 think it is but 85 and 95 ok. Also no sound at all out of standby sometimes till change to a different channel then back again.

Send a bug report to Vu asking for the drivers to be fixed. The sound issues are longstanding.

Another issue is when watching tv and you select a subtitle the sound mutes, rewinding or fast forwarding corrects this. Again a known Vu+ driver issue. And the Multi refresh rate issue. Vu+ do great boxes, but they are useless at bug fixes!!! Baaaaahhhhh. lol

however, this bug seems to vary on boxes... haven't experienced this bug on a duo2 while watching tv or playing back recordings. only if i'm using pip and leaving pip mode i din't have sound and have to rezap.

I've never used pip and still get. Had on all boxes. Also the bug where changing channels fast and the infobar fades out too quickly, well the whole screen until change channel and go back. A different issue though and not explained well prob lol

I can't change the volume, or mute/unmute because I'm not using sound via HDMI. I'm using the digital optical output. So all tap on remote webif regarding sound are accepted by the box.

But the problem still remain. Not every day. Reboot the box works. But not an optimal solution when recording.
