Has anybody tried live TV steaming from VU+ Solo2 to mobile devices and PCs (on the local network and over internet)...?
Does the new openvix version support this functionality...?
How is the quality like is it good or sluggish..?
What are the Android and windows client apps available for viewing..?

Thanks everyone in advance..:)

Hi,
on Solo2 quality is enough for smart phone and small tablet. Search App Store for the VU App. There are also a lot of other Apps which work with VU if you are searching for Dreambox.

Hi,
connect to web interface of the box, open channel list and then you will see right from the channel 2 monitor like icons. The left icon is for full quality streaming and the right for transcoded streaming. I only know of one dedicated streaming program for windows and linux and this is called DreamStream.

Hi thanks.

So correct me if I am wrong, in openvix I have to install web openwebif plugin and upset it up. then use my web browser to log into the web interface
and stream from there and no need of any pc software.

In am new to Linux sat receivers appreciate your thoughts

just try using your computer web interface to connect to your receivers ip address
IE: 192.160.0.12 (whatever yours is)
you can find its ip address in menu > setup > system > network > device setup > adapter settings

Hi,
openwebif is installed as default so no need to install.

IP is easier to find with menu, information, network.
