Hi

Hi have recently started to have some problems with my MGcamd as it constantly needs to be restarted. Every few hours, the tv will freeze and the screen will go black. I then restart the MGCamd and it will start up again and all is good until it happens again in a few hours time. Is there any way of stopping this and for the MGcamd start automattically? I have tried MGcamd 1.35a and MGcamd 1.38 but it makes no difference.

I am using VIX as my image on my ET10000 box. I use this for Cable TV

I have attached my MG_cfg below as I have read that this may be an issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you have pressed the blue button to Enable Startup and then green button to Start. (Softcam)

Yeah, I always have to press blue button, 4, yellow button so that it restarts. When iv changed from MGCamd 1.35 to 1.38, I press the green button to start it

Did you press blue button to enable startup and green button to start.
Oscam is way way better.

Like Andy, I have been amazed how straight forward Oscam can be once you ignore the millions of settings - and don't include things that you don't have to (and mess it up if you do) :)

i fourth it. oscam is very simple to use once setup complete

Yep I did.

Is there a set up guide to transfer from MGcamd to Oscam that I could take a look at?

Apollo feeds have been taken down so the feeds won't work.

Its a pain in the arse to set up with lots of trial and errors but in the end i got there and so far so good.

I'm well aware there is no Apollo build in here but it's out there & anyone that needs it can easily find it or PM me for it.
Why ?

Simple it runs great & for what I need it to do it does it better than any other build after 166 & as the OP had said he's having problems with mgcamd & that's one of the main problems I had so I stuck with 166 & will stay there until there's no such issues on later builds, personally I don't care what's new or been added that doesn't intrest me
What card are you using your cam for?
Sounds like a config/cam issue rather than an image issue.

I don't think it is an image issue (but I may be wrong). I was using Newcamd as the emulator but there was a problem with the server and everything stopped working. I was asked to change to MGCamd as the emulator which started everything up again, however, I now have to restart the MGCamd every few hours. It can sometimes be every 2 hours or as long as once a day. Previous to this, it never stopped.
