I also have an issue with cross epg and a xt10000, I have had it for a while but waited till 4.0 was released.
It somtimes won't update manually or automatically.
It has been happening since January on v3.2.x.
I have now started a fresh with 4.0 and a new USB stick but issue still there.
The only thing I have copied from 3.2 are my autotimer/timer xml files, no restore.

When epg starts it "reads channels" but when it gets to "read titles" the box locks up. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/dac8937712722e1fa8d4029b6e489b90.jpg

I will post log file and crossepg settings tomorrow as I'm on my phone.

When this happens to me I just remove the contents of the crossepg folder on the USB

I have attached 2 Logs, the one dated 28th was an automatic updated at 4pm, the other dated 29th was a manual update, time for this not sure but should be near end of log file as had to reboot.
Will post settings tomorrow.

Only time I've noticed anything like this is when EGP storage device wasn't mounted properly.
Check blue button -> ViX -> Mount Manager to see how it's mounted when you have this issue.

Mount looks good, sdb1 and ext4 r/w......
That's the first thing I thought, the xt10000 has an issue after reboot where it doesn't mount the Hdd.

Have you tried removing the contents of the folder /media/usb/crossepg?

ensure you do so with enigma2 halted, use "init 4" command.

Many thanks iamteaf, it seems to have worked.
I have done a manual update and it did a scheduled update today without issues.
Why would deleting the files fixed issue and what are they for?

Thanks

Will post settings tomorrow. The second one of these finishes with:
< 8956.432> [eDVBRecordFileThread] waiting for aio to complete
< 8956.432> [eDVBRecordFileThread] wait: aio_return returned failure: Interrupted system call
< 8956.432> [eDVBRecordFileThread] Waiting for I/O to complete
< 8957.964> [gRC] main thread is non-idle! display spinner! The only thing I know which does asynchronous I/O is movie recordings - you did have a timeshift running.
Is your /media/hdd an internal disk or a network one?

I do use timeshift, set to start after 5sec.
Media Hdd is internal.

I think it might sorted now anyway but will wait till tomorrow after scehduleded update to be sure.

Thanks birdman
