HELP - HW Error After Flash to Openvix 4.0

Hi All,

I have a solo 2 and did the flash update via USB to Rel 4.

This seemed to go as normal and I left the room for a minute only to return to HW Error on the box.

I have not done anything since in the hope that it can be recovered.

Please can anyone advise on how to restore my box ?

Kids will be driving me nuts if I cant get service back.

Just HW Error on the front of the box.

No error message or output to screen.

I have now restored 3.808 and the box is up again but lost me channels....working on that part now but at least we have the box back.

You have a clone receiver thats why you can't update to latest build. We don't support clone receivers, sorry.

This error happens quite often to my Solo2 as well (and it is genuine), and it has done so on all kinds of images; a powercycle does the trick.

Me too. But I have seen issue with clone receivers.

Yep, but it does happen here. Especially after couch flashing. First time I thought the box had died, but I'm used to it now. And this happened already way before VU embedded the anti-clone measures.
