Can someone tell me why I have this icon 47263in top right showing on my screen. Is it telling me something? Is it possible to disable?

You have a software update ready to download/install.

You can disable it in - Menu, Setup, System, Software Update Settings

Thanks. I suspected that was the case.

Generally are updates safe to do. Its taken me a while to get everything fully configured and wouldn't want to lose that and start over.

Make an image backup first, if you don't like the update, or t goes wrong, just flash from your own backup.

Sounds simple eh?

save your current image to your Hard Drive or a USB stick you can save both Backup Manager and Image Manager files then if anything goes wrong you will have a backup of your settings

just press the Blue Button on your remote and then press ViX press enter and you will see Backup Manager & Image Manager scroll down and select the one you want press OK then press the Green Button to save

Green light is perfectly fine to update, it means it's stable

was there people that done online updating and had issues afterwards,depending on what image was on box previously? read forum announcements first i would advise.
