New box selection

Vm is due to be in my friends area and am looking for suitable Box for him
My question is with the one I have a solo 2 as my both sat coax cables go into the box to allow me to record while watching another..
What way does it work with the vm cable as I belive there's only one feed....how does the box record while watching another....With the one cable
And what boxes are available to me to upgrade...

Well if your mate doesn't have cable in his area and he is getting it, first off he will have to enter into a contract with virgin to get it piped into his house.
After that if you get a box with a dual cable tuner then you just need one cable.

Which one of these will do then...that he will be able to use the single feed from vm and plug directly into and be able to record while watching another channel....
