Hi folks

Recently been experiencing issues with maintaining my Internet connection.

An example of what is see

bcmgenet bcmgenet.0 eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full duplex
bcmgenet bcmgenet.0 eth0: link down
bcmgenet bcmgenet.0 eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full duplex
bcmgenet bcmgenet.0 eth0: link down

I've run dmesg | grep eth0 to get the above. I've changed the ethernet cable, router and reviewed the settings a number of times. It is constantly dropping and pausing then going back up. Driving me crazy.

Any help appreciated.

Running on xtrend et8000 on openVIX enigma2

Thanks

What build you on mate? There was a bootloader fix in 35 I think it was to stop the box losing its IP. Maybe connected...

Thanks for the response. I'm on 37. Update regularly when it's stable. Have tried restore to 35,36 but still nothing.

Not sure if this is related but I have had issues with my Softcam glitching and freezing over the last few days.

So I checked my router settings and especially my Packet exchanges and found hundreds of Collision Packets which I then but my box into a Deep Standby switched it off and unplugged the LAN cable then unplugged all my LAN cables from my router and rebooted the router all the Collision Packets were cleared and no more glitching and freezing.

Just wondered if this is worth a good for you if your internet keeps dropping?

Hi Jason. How do I check the settings for collision packets?
