View Full Version : [ViX_Misc] zgemma S2 stuck on "boot"
Hi guys,
I have just joined this forum, so sorry for the lack of info, I would been able to get it if I could get into my Zgemma S2 box, yesterday it froze and went to reboot...... now it just says boot on the front and will do nothing at all, even pushing the power button on the front of the box and several buttons on the remote (ones I think might have been of use!)
Can anyone help? I have read some posts about an image problem, but this is new territory to me
I also read about new images and reloading them onto the box via flashstick is this what I need to do? I've got a million Q's in my head but thought I'd get a post started to get rid of 999,999 of them :p:p ......
Thanks
Stevie

Oh OK ty, may I ask why? Also if I need to change it what would you recommend?
Because its a clone, although supported by other E2 developers.
Other receivers? Look at the list sold by WoS. Depends on your requirements and budget.
TYVM twol,
Don't laugh !!!! I am currently (or was) getting all the channels with a sky skin, I have it on an external drive to record things to.... so I would like a box to give me the same with either an internal or external drive, not fussed either way, budget? I would say £300ish.
Mut@nt 2400hd. or an xtrend ET10000 m8, you won't go wrong with either box
Or if you don,t need transcoding then ET8000 ... better value than its big brother and as good.
Thanks blueboy
well, just bit the bullet and went with a Xtrend ET10000 2x DVB-S2 Linux Enigma 2 Linux HD Digital Receiver PVR Ready, delivery tomorrow...... :)
Well, the ET10000 is a dead solid, typical looking sat receiver, does everything that is in the write-ups, even the SNR readout works!
Wish you much fun :)

It is a great box but I've recently noticed issues when recording at the same time using tuners 3 and 4 on my box but I'm still investigating this to see if I can figure out what exactly might be causing the issue.

Tuners? Cable, Sat or ?
I've got 2 DVB-S2 tuners in first 2 slots starting from the case side and 2 DVB-T2 tubers in slots 3 and 4.
Afraid I cannot remember the manual details, but Isn,t there an issue with what you can stick,in slot 4?
A tuner box which came with my ET10k has written on it.......
(Note) for ET10000 only
1. Please do not install a tuner that requires a CAM at Tuner4 slot.
2. Please do not install the DVB-C tuner modules at Tuner3 and Tuner4 at the same time.
3. At case of using 4 different cable signal, pleas use 3 DVB-C modules and one DVB-C/T/T2 module as below.
- DVB-C at Tuner1, 2, 3 and DVB-C/T/T2 at Tuner4.
- DVB-C at Tuner1, 2, 4 and DVB-C/T/T2 at Tuner3.
I've got 4xDVB-C/T/T2, but only one tuner from slots 3 and 4 can record at the same time.
A simple test for my configuration - tuners 3 and 4 both have separate feeds, start using tuner4, disconnect the feed to tuner3
and tuner4 stops working. If I use a loopthru' from 3 to 4 instead of a separate feed, then tuner4 doesn't stop working.
