I hadn't scanned my terrestrial tuner for a while, but last night i did and when i looked in my bouquet i was missing blocks of channels, namely,
BBC1 HD
BBC2HD
ITV HD
CH4 HD
BBC Three HD...
The newer HD channels (4seven, Ch4+1, Al Jazeera etc) where still present.
I did a manual scan of the tuner and all the missing channels scanned in and tuned fine.
Please find attached lamedb after manual scan.

All the missing channels seem to belong to this mux:

<transponder constellation="3" bandwidth="0" centre_frequency="738000000" inversion="2" hierarchy_information="4" transmission_mode="3" guard_interval="4" system="1"/>
<!-- Ch 54 (HD) -->

This seems to be the new information in the lamedb file

eeee0000:4088:233a
t 737854999:3:5:5:3:2:4:4:2:0:0:0
/
So what is it that needs to be changed/edited to get them to scan back in Automatically?

Seems to have been changes on winter hill, no channels scanning in on T2 via ABM will tune, if you remove custom transponders they tune on 'T' fine.
Can't upload the edited file from my iPad (grrr) can upload from pc later if required.

They havnt changed frequency or UHF channel number, just protocol from T2 to T.
They scan in on ABM but don't tune.
Deleting custom transponders and then scanning ABM allows them to tune.
Can anybody else with Terrestrial in Winter Hill area confirm, it is mainly The HD channels (although some sd channels are also affected).

You are right there doesn't seem to be any changes listed on that site, and it does seem that dgs6 is still using MP4 T2 but I only know what my problem was and how I solved it.
Really need someone else to confirm.

Here are screen shots of all 3 muxes working (QVC Beauty HD isn't currently broadcasting) with my edited xml for anybody having problems, you can see the channel info at the bottom of the skin.
I will monitor for a few days incase they revert back.

Can someone upload a lamedb file from Winterhill containing Terretsrail HD channels please?

A transport stream reading from all three HD transponders would be brilliant. Sundtek tuners can do this easily. If required, @Sundtek will assist in getting the TS recordings.

One from the PVR_EPG frequency on Cable will also be appreciated.

I've just checked on my box and it reports DVB-T2 for all of these.

DVB-T doesn't allow 256QAM, and I can't see how they could get the data for all of the HD channels over the mux without that.

Don't know dude, as you can see the channels are working...
p.s.you aren't anywhere near Winter Hill...

With the footy about to start i aint got time to contact Markus, if someone wants to leave instructions on the Transport Stream recording i will attempt it later.

This was a message he sent to me. You may have to edit the values. I'd suggest changing naming output too.

/opt/bin/mediaclient --cat /dev/dvb/adapter1/dvr0 > /tmp/test.ts
this will dump the whole transportstream

better try to dump it to a harddisk instead of /tmp

p.s.you aren't anywhere near Winter Hill...No. What I was reporting was that that screen can report DVB-T2 (since some parts of the enigma2 code equate DVB-T and DVB-T2).

Should be ctrl and c

well i eventually had to pull the plug, lack of instruction there, till i get info on how to stop the command or how to limit the file dump size i can't continue.

Small dump of each mux, i've already checked in media info, it is definitely AVC.
None of this seems to make sense.

None of this seems to make sense.True.
The only thing I can think of is that whatever enigma2 looks for to distinguish DVB-T and DVB-T2 is missing, but that there may be some other differentiator too.
Otherwise I'd expect every other HD tuner using Winter Hill to have had the same problem, and hence someone on ukfree.tv to have commented; but no-one has.

46584Just noticed what you've done here.
You've set the bandwidth to 0 (== Auto) and the modulation to 4 (QAM256).
It might be that QAM256 setting "forces" it to use DVB-T2, but doesn't stops it setting the system flag to 1.

Have you tried a scan with a modulation of 3 (== Auto)?

Or done a scan via the OpenVix menus (with the tuner config set to Winter Hill) rather then via ABM, to see what lamedb gets produced.?

Those recordings do not seem to contain anything useful. Can you redo using these instructions.

Otherwise, can you grab the transport stream on a PC with proper analysis software.
