My Vu+ duo seesm to have developed a problem where it switches itself off randomly whilst watching it. It can happen after acouple of minutes or as long as half an hour. There are no power timers set. I am running version 3.2 build 037.

Anyone seen this before?

think the old vu duo might have had cap issues, does your fan work?

Hi,
do you have temp fan control active? At least in the beginning it had the possibility to shut down the box if some readings are out of limit. Try removing it.

I have looked in the temp and fan control menu option and i have fan 1 PWM set at 910 rpm. Does that mean it is on and will shut the box down?

Hi,
it is an possibility that the temp fan control shuts down your box. I did not say that it did it. 2 options:
1. activate debug logs and post a debug log when your box was shut down.
2. deinstall temp fan control and look what happens.

Nothing in the debug log after a random shutdown, does that suggest the capacitor?

Hi,
it is worth a try if you know what you are doing. The Duo is know for problems in this area.
