View Full Version : [ViX_Misc] ***Please read. OpenViX 3.2.037 will be last build of 3.2 branch***
To all OpenViX users, please be aware that builds for 3.2 branch will cease on build 037. New 4.0 branch images coming soon.
3.4.0xx image will require a fresh flash, settings may be able to be restored, but not plugins. More info will be posted closer to release.
Can I ask will there be any noticable end user improvements or are they mostly/all behind the scenes improvements?
oe-core updates mainly, lots of packages have been updated.
E2 just carries on as per normal with some fixes/improvements.
Sicilian - thanks for the update re needing to Image or USB flash. Also appreciate the new (to me anyway) fact that a message to that effect is included on the bootlogo screen after I went to -037 (which I had to do an Image flash on after doing online upgrade and still getting green dot) Takes minutes though so np. Hopefully that message should avoid people trying online upgrades when they shouldn't
Rossi, do you know if branch 3.3 bundles a new version of glibc - currently have 2.21 and press advising potential diffs with > 2.9. Although normal "behind firewall" applies. I tried searching for this last week but found nothing an to be honest forgot to start a new query then mention of 3.3 reminded me.
ye glibc was updated to 2.23 i think it was

You need to open a new thread for your issue!
Any idea when the new 3.3(?) update will be available ?
When it's available, it will be posted, simple as that fella :D
Do you recommend to flash it up thru usb or thru menu to be more stable?

If box not a clone then Backup settings, reflash through image manager and restore settings when asked
