Iptv box

Hi All

Please I would like some help

I would like to buy a iptv box but I have not got a clue as to which box to buy

Is their a plug and play box if not how do I get it to work

As you see I am a complete novice so please don't be so hard on me

I have an VU + Duo sat box

Toshiba laptop running WinXP

Depends what you want to run on it... If it is a dedicated service then a lot of servers are set up to use Mag boxes, if it is just a mish mash of your own channels you could set those up to run on your duo.

Just to say I know nothing about the boxes how to set them up or anything

I have lost S*y .lt and was hoping to replace it with a box that run iptv

Can I connect the box to my VU + Duo

A MAG250 is super easy to setup, it comes with the interface pre-installed all you need to do is provide the server with the MAC address of your box (printed on the bottom of the MAG unit), pay your sub to them, and then insert the 'portal' URL into the MAG and away you go.

Step by step guides are online but here is a copy paste I found:

1: turn off your box and then turn it back on.

2: when you get to the "Loading" image, press your "set/setup" button on your remote. This will bring you to the "inner portal".

3: press your "set/setup" button again. Then go to "Servers".

4: change "portal URL 1" to the new portal by pressing the "KB" button and typing the address you were given.

5: press the "KB" button again and press ok, then you will be returned to the previous screen.

6: goto "reload portal" and press ok when prompted.
