Hi all

I bought a second hand Gigablue HD800 EU on Friday and the learning curve for setting up a box is immense. after trying to set it up to no avail after reading what feels like thousands of threats I've decided to bite the bullet and ask you guys.

I got my box plugged into a virgin media cable, Ethernet is set up and connect to a cam - I think.
I've got my tuners set up as so, Tuner A, not configured
Tuner B - DVB-C
Network id - ive changed this a few times but I've found the one for my area and I've set it to match the EPG
I've tried searching service scan type on frequency steps, provider and bands but can't find any channels.

the autobouquetmaker after the search shows an error autobouquetmaker - timeout cannot find any channels.

I think I've provided enough info but if anyone has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate the ideas
thanks

Tuner A = DVB - S2
Tuner B = DVB-C/T

Hope you're not going to tell me that this box isn't compatible with cable, I asked the seller and he said it was

Your cable connector goes into the RF In using an adaptor. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RF-Coax-Male-to-F-Type-Female-Coaxial-Adapter-Satellite-and-Tv-Aerial-/191671001429?hash=item2ca07b6155:g:eDIAAOSw~gRV2QC 9

So this is the back of my box and the cable fits into the LNB in
I should but that converter and put the cable in the upper left hand side one?

Yes. Cable goes into Rf in upper left using the connector. You have had it plugged into the satellite tuner
