Hi, just got my xtrend 8000 from WOS and have it set up with autoboquets and cross EPG and it's working fine but question I have is what other plugins or addons are available that will make this box run at its max potential. I would basically like this box to run as good as a sly or VM box...

Cheers mate, I have Blue HD skin and Picons installed and looks great.

With regards the boot logo, how do I change this and could I change this for a family photo for example?

Boot logo files are FTP'd to etc/enigma
You can make them using Xorion Bootlogo maker

Yes, you can use a family photo hence me directing you to Xorion. The files are named correctly by the software. The boot logo's made by MK are worth checking out as they are excellent.

they are called bootlogo.mvi and backdrop.mvi

mine can be found in usr/share

I think you can use any picture so long as the files are the same size etc..etc

The 'tips and tricks' are not really box specific but more to do with the Vix image. Play around with the skins Confluence and You Vix hd are good, as are others. Also look at the plugins - IPTV is very good for streaming latest movies.

Sorry what exactly is filebrowser, it is a search function to play files stored on a NAS drive?

Also, I have another box running Kodi so would TS media be any benefit to me or is it the same type of thing as Kodi?
