Hi Guys.

I'm looking at ordering a triple DVB-c ET8000 tomorrow.

Is there a limit to how big (storage wise) the box supports?

What is the rough usage (gb) per hour for SD and HD content?

Lastly..
I have one cable feed to where my TV is, would I be better using a 3-way passive splitter and feeding each tuner its own connection, or using 2 loop through cables?

Thank you in advance.

A good quality three way passive splitter has a typical insertion loss of 7.5dB (each output = approx 0.4 of the input voltage).

Unless you have a lot of signal to start with the splitter for cable will probably give you insufficient signal on all three inputs. Use loop through.

The rough usage on cable depends, VM currently use mpeg2 for HD on all channels, but by spring most (not all) premium sky channels will be switched to MP4 which uses a lot less.

I am sure I have seen people mentioning 2.5TB drives, I use a 1TB drive in mine (also triple tuner - 1 satellite, 2 cable) which works perfectly.

Thanks guys.

Just making my loop through cables now.
Also I tested the box with a spare 4TB drive and it recognised that fine.
