Hi there,

I have a Gigablue Quad STB and a Sony TV with only one HDMI input. As I want to connect to the tv also my Chromcast, I tried to use VGA inline on my TV for my STB signal.

I bought HDMI to VGA converter (with and without power supply) and when I connect VGA and Audio to my TV I get sound but not video. Instead I get a message "not displayable". I do however get audio signal.

My TV is Full HD.

Can you think of any settings on the STB that I need to change in order to get the video displayed? I already tried to set the STB both on 50Hz and 60Hz but this did not help. I also set my STB on resolution "automatic", 720p, 1080i, 1080p but every time I get this freaking "not displayable" message on my TV.

Thanx for any suggestions !

Can't help with your specific problem but I would have used an HDMI switcher - only about a fiver.
