vu duo 2 ip address

Hi
I have a duo 2 running the latest vix image. When I connect to box with dcc and do a search for boxes on my network it finds the ip address of box but it calls it johnwills iPhone instead of vu duo 2.:confused:
Does this mean that my router has been hacked .If so how do I rectify it . (BT HUB 5)

it does only mean that you router might be mixed up.

I have reset router no difference. This is not a problem , just annoying that it has a different name.
Does any know how to rectify this.

Hi,
I still think that it is the router. Perhaps try a fixed (different) IP for the Duo2 which is outside the DHCP pool and not used. This way a router must create a new entry in its DNS.

Can you see the mac address of the iPhone. Check that this corresponds with your VU. If it does it is probably the router. As Trial said set I fixed IP address on the VU.
