The script managing syslogd and klogd (/etc/init.d/syslog) contains an error, in Image Vu+ Duo V5.5
When the intention is to do both local logging and remote logging, using
DESTINATION="file remote" in /etc/syslog.conf", the expected parameter -L is not set,
as wrong variable is used, LOCAL=0 should read LOG_LOCAL=1
