Struggling With Channels On 16 East

I'm struggling to clear lots of channels on 16 east (Tring and Supersport 1-5, main ones I watch )
All the other satellites are fine.

Any ideas ?

You will need bigger dish 1m+ m8 !
Because the original eutelsat wm2 crashed earlier this year and was replaced with tha old sesat satellite we are getting a lot weaker signal from that particular bird so bigger dish is the answer.

No not at all.......It's very weak on 16 east the rest of them are just fine...0.8 w, 9 e, 10 e, 13 e, 19.2 and 28.2 e.....Is there a way of nudging the dish ?
I used to do this on my Eagle Box ?

your lnb prob needs skewiing m8, i am in manchester and only get 55 percent signal on a 1m dish

if your just using diseqc 1.2 settings then yes you can manually adjust any sat position you chose if your using usalls then no as far as i know.

I'm on usals....Is there no other way ?
I just checked 13 e and it was 85%....16 e is 39%....I used to get about 77%

I have just seen a plugin called positionersetup in the plugins menu.
Have any members used this ?
Will it work for what I want to do ?

have u put the right long and lat in, i would check to see if it is right, and what image are u using m8 ?

Nothing has changed.....16 east is the only Satellite thats not clearing, when I had the Eagle in the past I just used to nudge the dish on 16 east then save the new position.
16 east has always been troublesome for me.
Long & Lat are correct and I'm using VTI 1.3 image

because the eagle being a clone of the DM500 used diseqc 1.2 and not usals. usals is a different beast all together from diseqc

If 16e has always been troublesome for you & all the rest of the sats are ok then i would put it down to the size of your dish added to the poor weather conditions we have today. If its clears tonight or tomorrow you will probably pull 16e in ok.

Just had a quick flick through 16 east and I located a FTA channel called TV1....It cleared it and showed 58%......But nothing on SuperSport or Tring.

What about the plugin called "positionersetup" have any members used it ?

I might just leave it as t.ph says and see what happens tomorrow, maybe get up the ladder and tweak/skew the LNB.

I'm sure that Positioner Setup is already built in, its just part of the image that you can move the dish with in setup.
The 3 strongest channels on 16e are:
Eutelsat Sesat @ 16 east 11055V 27900 My-Music
Eutel W2M @ 16 east 11282H 27500 Vizion+
EuroBird-16 @ 15.8 east 10834V 27500 Kopernikus

I tried the 3 channels above.....None of them cleared.
The readings were.

SNR 59%
AGC 88%

So It's not great.

That signal is more than enough to pull a good picture in so theres nothing wrong there. Im only getting 59% 73% & Vizion Plus is definatley free to air so there should be a picture on that one.

Yes I re-flashed it with a back-up image that I created before I messed with the bouquets and sat.xml.....Back to normal.
