IS there a Media Player for VUSolo2

Hi im running openvix on my VU Solo2 - is there an Media Player that everyone uses to play mkV and avi files) i do have an wdtv but its so flaky and woulnt mind if i could take one more device out the cabinet

the normal media player used to play recordings also plays AVI, mkv and so on.

Do the files have to be in a certain format or folder

Hi,
for a start /hdd/movie but it is not mandatory. It can play a lot of formats but certainly not all.
