Recording one side and Watch another

My Extrend ET9500 seems to have developed a problem i can no longer record one side and watch another at the same time. The recording starts ok but when it changes over to another channel to watch at the same time it changes but the screen is black and will not allow me to watch the channel i want, it has just started to do this can anyone HELP please :confused::confused:

Can you record BBC One HD then switch to ITV HD?

Yes but thats it can't record say sky 1 then over to universal so the only think i could think of was to do a factory reset to solve problem now i have another, i have set timers for different programs, but it i want to set a timer for a program to start at say 18.00 mon-fri or infact any time it comes up Timer Sanity error (Blindspot-21:58 skyliving and silentwitness 20:58-22:00 why this is not even the same time or day same as if i try to do instant record it does same will not let me and the program stopping it is no were near the time or day ??????????????????????????? :confused::confused::confused::confused:
